Meet Our Founder
I’m Aarti Rawat, and the idea behind Iradha started very personally for me.
My daughters, Radha and Iradha, are modern girls who are deeply rooted in Indian
culture. Watching their love for Indian wear — especially kurtis — really inspired me.
While shopping for them, I noticed a huge gap in the market. There were so many
brands, yet very few truly delivered what women actually need.
Many claimed to use “100% cotton,” but the fabrics felt synthetic, see-through,
uncomfortable, or poorly stitched. Some kurtis looked beautiful online but felt impossible
to wear comfortably through an entire day.
That’s when I realised something very simple:
Indian women don’t hate Indian wear. They hate badly made Indian wear.
And that thought became the beginning of Iradha.
My Vision for Iradha
With Iradha, my vision is to make Indian women fall in love with Indian wear again — by
creating pieces that are breathable, size-inclusive, vibrant, and genuinely comfortable
enough to live your whole day in.
I wanted to build a brand that feels honest. Clothes that look beautiful, but also feel
beautiful to wear.
What Makes Iradha Different
At Iradha, we don’t design clothing by guessing what women want. We think like our
customers because we are the customers.
We understand what it feels like to work, travel, sweat in Indian heat, and still want to
feel confident and comfortable in Indian wear.
That’s why every detail matters to us:
● We use soft, breathable fabrics like pure cotton and mulmul — never
uncomfortable polyester blends.
● Every fabric goes through a sunlight test before production to ensure it is not
transparent.
● We promise opacity, so women never have to worry about see-through kurtis.
● Our sizing is created using real Indian body measurements. Our XL to 4XL fits
are thoughtfully tailored — not oversized tent cuts.
● I’ve always loved the vibrant colours of India, so our collections reflect that joy
through bright, rich, and lively shades.
How My Story Shapes the Brand
Everything we create at Iradha comes from problems I personally experienced for
years.
I’ve dealt with uncomfortable fabrics during summer, transparent kurtis, inconsistent
sizing, and designs that lacked life and personality. I wanted to create solutions to those
everyday frustrations for women like me.
For me, Iradha is not just about selling kurtis. It’s about creating Indian wear that women
can truly trust, feel comfortable in, and confidently wear every single day.
The Legacy I Hope to Leave Behind
I hope Iradha becomes a brand that helps Indian women reconnect with Indian
contemporary wear — with less compromise, more comfort, and complete confidence in
what they wear.
Because Indian wear should never feel like a compromise. It should feel effortless,
beautiful, and empowering.
